What To Meal Prep For Snack

Snacks are that yummy, delicious pick-me-up in between meals. When you feel your energy depleting, but not yet ready to sit down to a full mean- snacks are there to the rescue. Snacks helps to boost energy levels and, when eaten healthy, can also be very nutritious for your body.

The number one reason most people stop at convenient stores for a quick snack is simple because it’s convenient. But there are ways to create healthy convenient snacks that you can take with you on a daily basis- and some even have shelf life.

1. Nuts

Nuts are a healthy fat. Too much of them can result in excess fats being stored in your body in unwanted areas. Just the right amount, however, can be beneficial. As a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach, I would recommend putting together 10 bags of nuts (1C each bag). The reason for 10 bags, is to allow for extra snack in case emergency.

2. Fruit

Depending on the season, there are many fresh fruits you can prepare in advance to take along as a snack in case you get hungry in between meals. While I am not against this, although high in sugar- dried fruit, in moderation, can also make for a great fruit snack along your day.
