  Notes From A Therapist

You ever go to a therapist and ask them how they plan to “fix” you?

Well, I did. And no, I’m not ashamed to say this. Hear Me Out and you’ll know why. (I’ll explain at the very end)

Therapists, at least the good ones, can be expensive. And while I had a certain issue that I needed assistance working through, I also didn’t enjoy having to stop my day and waste time in an office talking my problems to someone.

Why? Well for one, I felt it was a waste of time. And second, I wanted to learn how to do it myself- except for the fact that google wasn’t being all that helpful- since they weren’t giving me a game plan.

So, I went about finding the best therapist and signed up. Went for a couple sessions until I felt it was time to turn the tables.

I turned the tables.

I started asking the questions. I was in control now. Although she wasn’t aware of this just yet.

I asked her what her plan was for me, and she told me this.

Our mind stores information. Sometimes trauma can affect how the information in our brain is stored. Things can get messy… And we all know what its like when our house gets messy- things get dysfunctional.
